During the World Social Forum, IYTC, in collaboration with IMCS Asia Pacific and IMCS Nepal, organized a side-event, Catholic Social Forum (CSF) – Youth Dialogue at the World Social Forum (WSF) in Nepal with the Theme: Inter-generational Dialogue for “Another World Is Possible le” on Saturday, 17 February 2024 at 4 PM – 5:30 PM Nepal Time (GMT+5:45) on-site in St Xavier College, Maitighar, Kathmandu.
At the event, the panelists shared their thoughts on how the WSF unites people and their work for peace and justice in the world. They also linked into the theme of how another world is possible for them. Around 40 participants participated in a zoom meeting to discuss the problems they feel the world is facing, drawing from experience in their work, how they as individuals or organizations can tackle the problems, also, how the church and catholic lay movements can achieve the same mission of building a peace and justice world.
In the end, the panelists summed up all the ideas and statements made in the group discussions with specific points on what we can do as a collective group from the campaign and action-orientated program in the community and church.
