The pan asia pacific assembly

The Pan Asia Pacific Assembly (PAPA) shall be composed of:

  • Two (2) students and one (1) Chaplain/Animator/Advisor/ Full timer from each Movement affiliated to IMCS 
  • Asia Pacific Team 
  • Regional Chaplain/ Chaplaincy Team 
  • One (1) observer from each of IMCS correspondent members/ collaborators 

 

Functions of PAPA:

  1. To determine the goals and priorities of the movement in accordance with the challenges coming from the milieu, society and the church. 
  2. To evaluate and establish the work of the IMCS AP Team and the movement’s overall situation in Asia Pacific. 
  3. To study and vote on any proposed modifications of the statutes. 
  4. To adopt the decisions on admission and exclusion of the membership. 
  5. To elect or approve the election of IMCS As Pac team members. 
  6. To approve the accounts.

  • The governing body of IMCS AP is the IMCS Asia Pacific Council, which meets between two meetings of the Pan Asian Pacific Assembly. 
  • Asia Pacific Council can be conducted either through an in-person meeting or virtual platforms

 

IMCS AP Council shall be composed of:

  • One (1) representative: student or a key person from each Movement affiliated to IMCS
  • Asia Pacific Team
  • Regional Chaplain/ Chaplaincy Team
  • One (1) observer from each of IMCS correspondent members/ collaborators

 

Functions of Council:

  • To review, interpret and revise the activities of IMCS AsPac based on the decisions of PAPA.
  • To determine and evaluate the activities of the Asia Pacific team in accordance with the

decisions of PAPA.

  • To plan the meetings of PAPA and to exercise its function in relation to PAPA.
  • To take appropriate decisions subject to ratification by the PAPA, on urgent and important

matters requiring immediate actions.

  • To recommend and decide the candidates for the AsPac team.
