IYTC, Chiangmai, Thailand | January 13-15, 2025 (Mon.-Wed.)

Are you passionate about global governance and eager to make a difference? The Chiangmai Global Governance Forum (CGGF) is the perfect platform for you to engage with like-minded individuals and organizations from around the world. Mark your calendars for January 13-15, 2025, and join us at the beautiful International Youth Training Center (IYTC) in Chiangmai, Thailand!

  1. About the Forum: The CGGF offers an open space for dialogue and collaboration among Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) from Asia and beyond. This unique event focuses on addressing the challenges and opportunities of global meetings and processes, enhancing CSO advocacy and campaigning efforts. Initiated by the Asia Civil Society Partnership for Sustainable Development (APSD), PEOPLES’ 20 plus (Global Summit Watch), and the International Movement of Catholic Students (IMCS) Pax Romana, the forum brings together a diverse network of CSOs.
  2. Venue and Dates: Join us at the picturesque International Youth Training Center (IYTC) – Tamarind Village in Chiang Mai, Thailand, from January 13-15, 2025. Plan to arrive by January 11 or 12 to settle in and prepare for three days of impactful discussions. Depart on January 15 or 16, or extend your stay for some well-deserved rest and retreat.
  3. Hybrid Format: Can’t make it in person? No problem! The CGGF will be held in a hybrid format, allowing participants to join virtually from anywhere in the world. Approximately 30 participants will attend in person, representing global, regional, national, and local CSOs.
  4. Why Attend? This is your chance to build synergies and linkages with fellow CSOs working on similar issues. Share your advocacy action plans and gain insights from others. Continue the legacy of collaboration inspired by the Solidarity for Asian People’s Advocacy (SAPA) from 2005-2007.
  5. Critical Discussions: Evaluate the outcomes of international processes and meetings from 2024, and get ahead with information on upcoming events in 2025 and beyond. Develop more effective strategic advocacy and campaign plans with the insights you gain.
  6. Tangible Outputs: Contribute to and benefit from an updated international advocacy calendar, featuring a compilation of advocacy and meeting plans from participating organizations. This tool will be invaluable for planning future advocacy and joint activities.
  7. Follow-Up Events: The CGGF is a continuation of a series of impactful CSO meetings, including the Asian Futures Forum (AFF), webinars on the G20 and BRICS Summit in 2024, the Asia Regional People’s Assembly (ARPA), and the Global People’s Assembly (GPA) in New York.
  8. Affordable Participation: While participants are expected to cover their own expenses (airfare, local transportation, food, and lodging), the registration fee is only 200 USD. This fee covers local transportation (airport to IYTC) and food and accommodation for 3-4 days. If you need assistance, the host organization, IYTC, may be able to help with local expenses.

Don’t miss this incredible opportunity to network, share, and strategize with CSO leaders from around the globe. Register now and be part of the movement to shape a sustainable future through collaborative governance.
