The International Movement of Catholic Students (IMCS) Pax Romana movement was founded in 1921 by Catholic tertiary students to promote justice and peace. Since then, IMCS Pax Romana has been active in advocacy at National and International levels in religious as well as secular platforms as a practice of faith.

Currently, Pax Romana is active in several platforms such as United Nations Major Group for Children and Youth (UN MGCY), International Coordination Meeting of Youth Organisations (ICMYO), UNESCO International NGOs Forum etc, to participate in the international advocacy and regional secretariats and national member movements are participating in the advocacy platforms respectively. Following the IMCS Global survey 2018 and IMCS World Assembly 2019 advocacy recommendations, the movement has decided to expand and change the strategy of the advocacy engagement of the movement with wider participation of the members of the national movements who are coming from different parts of the world.

Through the Global Advocacy Training (GAT) programme 2020, IMCS Pax Romana is anticipating to equip members who are interested in advocacy with the prerequisite skills and knowledge to advance in this area of expertise. We look forward to engaging participants with initiatives in advocacy who put in efforts based on the vision of the Movement in their community, local, national, regional and at the international levels.

Participants who complete the training program successfully will be eligible to apply for the IMCS Pax Romana Global Advocacy Team.
