imcsap.org – The International Youth Training Centre (IYTC) was established to contribute to youth leadership building, environmental justice, and spirituality of action by providing a conducive environment for students of all ages, for capacity building and empowerment through learning and training for the social transformation for a peaceful, just, inclusive and a green world. The IYTC was established at Chomthong, Chiang Mai, Thailand, by the International Movement of Catholic Students (IMCS) Pax Romana and the Brothers of St. Gabriel’s Foundation, Thailand. And the “CALLED TO BE MISSIONARY DISCIPLES [CMD]” is a year-long program for young religious people, held at IYTC from March 2023-February 2024.

The program begins with the Immersion in the communities in March 2023. From March 6th -9th, participants got to know about the villages, homes, factories, and cultural life through sharing from Brother Dominic as preparation before Immersion. On March 10th -24th, 2023, participants started the Immersion with communities, where they had weekly live-in experiences in the villages, homes, and factories (Prime Movers, Sacred Places of Worship (Wat, Mosque) in Doi Tong. There was some conversation with women/men village leaders & OIs, supervisors-persons living in the homes, Visionary Entrepreneurs, religious leaders, DISAC & KRC (Karen Refugee Center, Mae Sariang).
