Members of Sri Lanka University Catholic Students’ Movement (SLUCSM) had a meeting with His Lordship Rt. Rev. Dr. Maxwell Sliva on the 9th of September 2019 at Archbishop’s House Colombo.
The meeting was organized to pay our gratitude for the guidance given especially to organize the National Seminar in the past two years. Bishop Maxwell Silva is the Auxiliary Bishop of the Archdiocese of Colombo who held the portfolio of Catechetics, Higher Education, and University Apostolate at the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of Sri Lanka. His Lordship presided over the inaugural Eucharist and exhorted the university community to remain faithful to their Christian vocation and be committed.
During this meeting, we had a discussion with His Lordship and Rev. Fr. Claude Perera; National Coordinator of the SLUCSM on organizing the next National Seminar. It was highlighted that we should try our best to uplift the spirituality of the members furthermore during the upcoming National Seminar. His Lordship inquired members present about their unit-level Catholic Students’ Movement work and about their university academic work.
While thanking His Lordship for all the help given to us throughout past years we wish His Lordship good health and God’s blessings.
