The IMCS Asia Pacific actively participated in and significantly contributed to the series of Asia Future Forum webinar Webinar No 6 on the Outcome of the UN SOTF Pact for the Future (P4F), Global Digital Compact and Declaration on Future Generations jointly organized by Asia Civil Society Partnership for Sustainable Development (APSD), Global Call to Action against Poverty (GCAP), POP Dialogue, PEOPLES20 and International Youth Training Center (IYTC) in partnership with Coalition for the UN We Need (C4UN), serves as a preparation and follow-up to the UN Summit on the Future (SOTF), which was held in New York on 22-23 September 2024, which was held on October 7, 2024 virtually.

In this webinar, IMCS through Ms Bertha as one of the speakers brought a wealth of organizational and personal reflections on the Summit’s outcomes, particularly as they pertain to youth and future generations. Emphasizing on three core areas: youth empowerment, climate action, and global cooperation. The reflections shared were both insightful and forward-thinking, aligning with IMCS Pax Romana’s mission to foster youth engagement in creating a sustainable and equitable future.

  1. Youth Empowerment

She underscored the importance of youth empowerment as a critical outcome of the Summit. This included discussing strategies for increasing youth participation in decision-making processes at all levels, from local communities to international forums. Emphasis was placed on the need to provide youths with the tools, resources, and platforms necessary to voice their opinions and influence policies that affect their lives and futures.

In the context of climate action, she highlighted the urgent need for robust and sustained efforts to address climate change, as discussed at the Summit.
