Jenny Toppo: Jharkhand AICUF organized an International webinar on 27th June 2020, with the theme “Ecology in Relation With Indigenous People”. Theme justification was done by IMCS International Chaplain Fr. Jojo M Fung, SJ, Post Doctoral Researcher at Oxford University, UK.
In the webinar, Father Jojo discussed the Ecological problems and environmental issues in relation to indigenous peoples. He also shared his thoughts on the impact of the environmental issues that affect indigenous peoples. In his speech, he opined the impact of climate change on the livelihoods of indigenous people and the impacts of the technological environment, sustainable development, and liability.
All total of 80 members of the IMCS participated in this webinar. IMCS International President Ravi Tissera, Asia Pacific Coordinator William Nokrek, AICUF National Adviser Fr. Emmanuel SJ, Fr. Benjamin SJ, National secretariat, Jharkhand state secretariat including other 6 countries like Zambia, Bangladesh, Ghana, Indonesia, Zimbabwe, and Hong Kong along with 11 AICUF states, Jharkhand, Bihar, West Bengal, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Manipur, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Kerala, and Uttar Pradesh members attended this webinar. The webinar was moderated by Jharkhand AICUF full-timer Jenny Toppo.
