March Prayer Meetings Strengthen Global Commitment to Peace and Justice

On March 6 and 9, 2025, the PaJu Monthly Online Prayer for World Peace gathered partners and friends in a shared moment of faith and solidarity. Hosted by the International Youth Training Center (IYTC) in Chiang Mai, this prayer initiative emphasized peace, unity, and a world free from nuclear weapons. Inspired by the messages of Pope Francis and the Nagasaki Catholic Peace Forum, participants came together to reflect, pray, and renew their commitment to peacebuilding efforts globally.

The prayer meetings were deeply rooted in the call for global peace and justice, particularly in the context of nuclear disarmament. The words of Pope Francis served as a guiding inspiration, reminding participants of the urgent need for unity and action against war and violence. The Nagasaki Appeal for Peace and the prayers from the bishops of Japan and the USA further emphasized the commitment to peace without nuclear weapons.

Participants from various regions, including members of Pax Christi, Pax Romana, and the Pax Jubilee Network, actively joined in prayer. The online format allowed for a diverse gathering of faith-based advocates, students, and peacebuilders committed to promoting a culture of peace.

The PaJu Monthly Online Prayer for World Peace continues to serve as a vital platform for interfaith dialogue, reflection, and action. As we move forward, these gatherings remind us of our shared responsibility in advocating for peace, justice, and the abolition of nuclear weapons. The next prayer sessions will build on these commitments, fostering deeper solidarity among communities worldwide.

Let us remain steadfast in our prayers and actions for a world rooted in peace and reconciliation.
