imcsap.org – IMCS Pax Romana conducted a workshop for the student leaders of the Catholic societies of Sri Lankan state universities. This residential seminar was conducted on the 04th and 05th of February 2023 at Montefano Rest House, Ampitiya Kandy. The theme of this program was ‘The Role of Christian Students Leadership’, and it was attended by student leaders from various universities in Sri Lanka. The workshop was aimed at empowering student leaders to make a positive impact in their communities. The program’s focus on leadership, service, community building, and problem-solving provided participants with valuable insights and tools for personal and spiritual growth. The seminar’s success is a testament to the importance of investing in student leadership development and creating a positive impact in our communities.
The workshop was led by Mr. Ruki Fernando (Former IMCS-AP Chaplaincy Team) and Mr. Ravi Tissera (President, IMCS Pax Romana). The facilitators provided participants with valuable insights on leadership and service, as well as strategies for community building and problem-solving. The interactive and productive sessions were engaging and enlightening, enabling the participants to use their faith and intellect to address common issues.
The workshop provided a unique opportunity for the participants to network and build relationships with like-minded individuals. The program’s focus on community building helped participants establish lasting connections that will undoubtedly prove useful in the future. The participants came from various universities in Sri Lanka, and the seminar provided a platform for them to share ideas and experiences.
At the end of the 2-days workshop, The SLUCSM is considering follow-up activities and support to help participants apply what they have learned and continue to develop their leadership skills.
