Dates: January 16-18, 2025 (Thursday-Saturday)
Venue: International Youth Training Centre (IYTC), Chomthong, Chiang Mai, Thailand

Why You Should Join the CCC Forum

1. A Unique Platform for Dialogue:
The CCC Forum is your chance to engage in meaningful dialogue with Catholic Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) from Asia and around the world. This open space will address the challenges and opportunities within global meetings and processes, both within the UN and the Catholic Church, focusing on CSO advocacy and campaigning.

2. Hosted by Leading Organizations:
This event is organized by the International Youth Training Center (IYTC) – Laudato Si Center, the International Movement of Catholic Students (IMCS) Pax Romana, and Pax Christi Korea (PCK), in partnership with other like-minded organizations.

3. Experience Chiang Mai:
The forum will be held at the serene Tamarind Village, providing an inspiring setting for three days of engagement and reflection. Plan to arrive by January 15 to fully participate and consider staying an extra day for rest and retreat.

4. Hybrid Format for Broader Participation:
Can’t make it in person? No problem! The forum will be available in a hybrid format, allowing virtual participation. We expect around 30 in-person participants from various global, regional, national, and local organizations.

5. Critical Evaluations and Strategic Planning:
Join us in evaluating the outcomes of key international meetings in 2024 and learn about upcoming processes in 2025. This is an opportunity to develop strategic advocacy and campaign plans based on the latest information.

6. Key Discussion Topics:
Topics will include follow-ups on significant events such as:

  • UN Summit of the Future (New York, Sept. 2024)
  • Second Session of the XVI Ordinary General Assembly of the Synod of Bishops (Rome, Oct. 2024)
  • UN 2nd Social Summit (Doha, Nov. 2025)
  • Jubilee Year and World Youth Day (Rome, 2025; Seoul, 2027)
  • Catholic Social Forum during the World Social Forum (Kathmandu, Feb. 2024)
  • Catholic Peace Forums (Nagasaki, Aug. 2024; Rome, Sept. 2024)
  • Lay Apostolate Conference during the Synod (Rome, Oct. 2024)

7. Building Synergies:
This forum aims to foster synergies among Catholic organizations dedicated to social justice, peace, care for creation, and youth. Share your advocacy plans and learn from others to strengthen collective efforts.

8. Advocacy Calendar:
We will compile an updated international advocacy calendar, helping all participants align their efforts and plan joint activities effectively.

9. Costs and Registration:
Participants are responsible for their own travel expenses (including airfare and local transportation), food, and accommodation. The registration fee is $200 USD, covering local transportation, food, and accommodation for the duration of the forum. IYTC may assist with local expenses for some participants in need.

10. Additional Event Opportunity:
Consider attending the Chiangmai Global Governance (CGG) Forum from January 13-15, just before the CCC Forum, for a deeper dive into global governance topics.

Register Now to secure your spot and be part of this significant gathering. Don’t miss this opportunity to contribute to and learn from a vibrant community of advocates and leaders dedicated to making a positive impact on the world.
